Reliance Hexham specialise in the manufacture, overhaul and repair of equipment and machinery for use in the mining, aluminium and steel processing industries. We manufacture, repair and certify lifting equipment, chains, shackles, attachments, fork tines, QDS, couplings and drawbars among many other products.
We offer a wide range of services including but not limited to forging, blacksmithing, heat treatment, profile cutting, proof load testing, destructive testing, non-destructive testing, fabrication, design and N.A.T.A accreditation (National Association of Testing Authorities).

What is the process for design and engineering?
Our Design & Engineering Process always stems from an unmet customer need. Once the customer requirements and restraints (Design Inputs) are clear, we proceed to develop a Concept, which takes the shape of a preliminary, 2D or 3D simulation. Through a process of feedback loops and in-depth modelling, we build a more Detailed Design that finally goes through Review & Verification before being handed over to the customer for approval before the build phase. Our Design and Engineering projects last anywhere between one week to several months.
Is all testing done on site?
Testing is conducted at Reliance Hexham’s premises, as well as on site in some cases, and our experienced and certified personnel use advanced testing and precision equipment to ensure the maximum reliability of our results.
Are there warranties for repairs?
All Welding Repairs completed by Reliance Hexham are thoroughly inspected by way of non-destructive testing methods such as magnetic particle or liquid dye penetrant testing.
What accreditations does Reliance Hexham have?
Reliance Hexham is NATA (National Association of Testing Authorities) accredited organisation. All testing carried out by Reliance Hexham to our accreditation is certified & traceable as per the NATA ruling & our quality assurance accreditation.
Is a NATA accreditation required for testing?
NATA (National Association of Testing Authorities) is the authority which provides assessment and accreditation for technical testing facilities. Industries such as mining especially need to meet NATA quality assurance for machine and product testing, which can only be completed by a NATA accredited facility.
